The Reicioace flag by isobug
Reiciosexual, also known as Reicioasexual or simply Reicioace, is a sexual orientation on the asexual spectrum characterized by limited or no sexual attraction, interest, or activity due to emotional exhaustion from repeated rejection, or an intense fear of rejection.
Reicioace is similar to and may overlap with or be used alongside Requiessexual and the Sex-drained Sex Stance, but using or identifying with those terms is not a requirement for being Reicioace.[1]
An example of someone using this label would be an individual who is Asexual, was Sex-neutral, and who is now Sex-drained due to repeated rejection. They now consider themselves Reicioace as they’ve lost all sexual interest in and any urges for sexual activities with those individuals.[2]
Etymology[]
The prefix Reicio- comes from the latin word "Reiciō", which literally means to throw or repel, but can also be used figuratively to mean "to reject". It is pronounced /ˈrei̯.ki.oː/.[3]
Flag[]
The Reicioace flag was made by isobug on September 13th, 2024. The colors were inspired by the Asexual flag and the Requiessexual flag. Purple stands for "Asexuality / Being on the Acespec", Blue for "exhaustion / rest", and the Grey stripe going through the Ace symbol represents "the absence of sexual attraction / interest / activity".[1]
