Erassexual, sometimes spelled as erasexual or errasexual, is an acespec term where ones' sexual attraction has partially/fully vanished. It may have to do with neurodivergence or trauma (also neuroasexual and caedsexual) or maybe it left for another/no reason.[1]
History[]
Erassexual, along with erasromantic, were coined by the fandom user @Dxxnkichu on December 29th, 2020.
The primary erassexual and erasromantic flags, as well as the alternative erasgender flag, was created by Wikia user @Fruitindividual, also known as Instagram user @mincom_artist2, on February 8th, 2021.[2]
Flags and Symbols[]
For the first flag, the red represents sexuality, the white represents the sexuality as it once was, the dark core representing the neurodivergence or trauma, the lines represent the vanishing of the sexuality, and the black represents absence.
On the second flag, the erassexual/romantic flag has green to represent romantic attraction, purple to represent sexual attraction, white to represent the presents of attraction, and black to represent the sudden lack of attraction.
Itz henka gacha made an errasexual flag on 30 September 2022. White is for allosexuality and the greyscale is for how the allosexuality vanishes and is replaced with asexual. The purple is from the asexual flag too, it is for community.
