An angled aroace is an individual on the aroace-spec who experiences some form of attraction that they feel is significant enough to warrant a place alongside their aro-spec and ace-spec identities. This attraction can be any form of nonromantic, nonsexual attraction (tertiary attraction), such as platonic attraction, queerplatonic attraction, sensual attraction, aesthetic attraction, alterous attraction, etc. or any combination of these. The term was intended to be used by those who are not strictly aroace, though the creator has stated that you are free to use the term even if you're flat out aroace, because you are still on the spectrum.[1]
The term was originally created in 2019 because the oriented aroace identity did not include aroace-spec individuals.[2]
